Just want to make it clear that I have no agenda and have not accused anybody of having an agenda. I will however clarify my position if called into question. I wouldn't want my silence to be perceived the wrong way.

I appreciate that we are a diverse bunch and I appreciate that we can only judge each other based on our own experiences.

I can't reiterate enough that I am a fence sitter extraordinaire in life when it comes to judging others. I am an investigator, push and prod in different directions, move around the evidence, look at it from different angles, ponder the possibilities and rule out nothing. I spend so many hours per day doing just that, I can't turn it off anymore.

ODN the only agenda I was talking about in regard to yourself was your modship hat being mixed up with this. The question of use of mod powers became a side issue here in regards to the OP. The way the situation became a personal battle between several show that emotions came into play needlessly. It is obvious in the remaining posts which posts are lighthearted, which posts are topical and which posts are Celtic Prides.
It is not s debate about is rape OK, it is not a debate about should we protect one of our own, it is not a debate about letting sleeping dogs lie. We are all on the fence as we cannot change what has or will occur.

Sorry guns, re-reading what I wrote, I wasn't suggesting you thought I was accusing others of having agendas. I was supporting what you wrote and assuring others that it was not my intent.

I must have been mistaken then and confussed the issues on the main board. Even if I had though, I still wouldnt know your true opinion so this is a moot point.

Yes I did, but this was an observation and I don't see how this is a personal attack. If you took it as such - it was not what was intended.

Do you know how the moderator tools work?...What more can I do to tell you that you have got it wrong and that I consider the continuing assertions to be an attack on my integrity?

Clearly I don't know the opperations of a mod and again I never made a personal attack on you.

Then they report them. If you are offended by something and you don't report it, then you have zero rights in criticising moderators for not dealing with it

I have reported something before that was pretty offensive, but because it was a mod that made the comment it was ignored. I took this matter much further and the result was I lost faith in how the reporting system works. (Was not on this board, or a carlton mod)

Reporting a post seems pointless, because as your comments have shown it simply comes down to the mods own views sometimes as opposed to being subjective and receptive - just my personal view though.

Some indulgence and understanding on behalf of the posters we do this for is always welcome...To say you don't want it discussed on the Carlton board because it is not football related is a little simplistic.

The subjects are carlton related, opinions on rape allegations in general are not. Anyway I didn't say I didn't want it discussed and I am understanding on the tough work of the mods - however equally the mods should perhaps be understanding that if this particular issue is discussed, its probably safer to go about it with strict attitude.

I tried to limit myself to just direct answers as to not deter from this thread anymore.

Okay, I can accept that. Perhaps the better way to go about it is to say that you don't like a particular comment and ask for it to be removed. If you presume a comment was left because it agreed with a moderator's viewpoint, then it may appear that you are pre-judging that moderator.

Even we have issues with other boards and actions taken and not taken. On this board though, we like to think we are doing our best for the locals, even if they don't always think so.

Sometimes to illustrate your related point, you need to expand outside of the point. Analogies and experiences can be useful on occasion.

Cautious attitude is more the go here and as stated, the more distasteful of the two comments was thought to have been gone so the attitude was already in place.
