Its quite interesting, and I think this has a good potential.

Dash sounds like he has a lot of enthusiasm for rugby, and his vision for rugby in the US though quite grand does show he has belief that the sport could be a lot bigger in the US.

Sounds like he knows a bit about his rugby too, which is encouraging.

It's an interesting article, and surely a positive for rugby in the US.

I just hope that if something takes off in the US with these guys that they keep the ideals of rugby and not turn the game into one for brash, arrogant ****ers like most NBA basketball players seem to be. And the guys dreaming if he thinks the US can win in 2007, or even 2011.

Pegging rugby to hip hop though...well it'll be interesting.

The thing with rugby in the US is that the type of people that make good rugby players also make good American footballers, why would you take a chance on rugby when you know the riches, rewards & recognition that gridiron offers over there.

Maybe they could filter off those blokes that aren't quite good enough for pro football.

I just think it's very hard for any country to embrace a new sport to a mainstream level.

I don't mind the US getting more competitive but I could do without their global domination that he talks about.

There are thousands of people in the US who stop playing gridiron after school and college. Many of these people are not elite enough to continue onto the NFL but maybe suited very well to rugby. The untapped potential is huge.
