In this thread maybe people can propose the trades they are thinking about making for the coming trade week.

It would work best if each poster comments on the one that precedes them before listing their own proposed trades.

for me

Out: Clark, Gram
In: Kruezer, H.Shaw

That's a bit of a knee-jerk reaction. Those 2 your looking at getting in, sure they scored well last round.. but they could stink it up in round 2? I'd wait if your serious, otherwise.. DO IT.

Re: Rate My Trade rd 1.

Trading off a premium ruckman who had the flu/a virus, for a still young ruckman just to jump on a backman who had a good game is not good trading at this time of year.

3/10, and thats being overly generous.

Re: Rate My Trade rd 1.

I am not going to trade this week but my thinking behind these trades is:

-Shaw seems underpriced and based on his first rd score looks like he will rise.
-Kruezer is also underpriced basked on what he is capable of and as a young ruckmen will only rise
-Gram is more than likely going to maintain his 80ish average and therefore hold in price and could be a good upgrade target as a 6th back later in the year.\

It does seem knee jerk but in hindsight I wish i had started with these selection and I beleive it is necessary to use a few trades early to get the right players in before price fluctuation starts.

Re: Rate My Trade rd 1.

Worse than the OP's suggestion.
Stick with the premiums you selected and use your trades to improve the rest of your team.

Re: Rate My Trade rd 1.

Thinking of trading C.Newman after 16 points for someone who should consistently score in N.Malceski, who scored 136. I would also be gaining some money.

However, Newman is a high price for a reason. Tigers will most likely struggle again against the Bulldogs so it will be down back a lot. And then again a fan of using trades straight up.

Thoughts?

Re: Rate My Trade rd 1.

I'm considering trading Shaun Burgoyne, he won't play until he is fit and that could be Round 4 or so.

What are your thoughts on this, and who should I get for him, Higgins? K. Cornes?

Thanks.

Re: Rate My Trade rd 1.

Any possible trade suggested in this thread is a fail.

Re: Rate My Trade rd 1.

Wow, I rekon your gonna be outta trades by round 10 seeing as how your getting rid of keepers/potential keepers after 1 bad week :thumbsu: GW keep it up

Fails :D

I am thinking of trading Newman due his score of 16 and as I'm not sure if the team structure has changed. Even that I'm still waiting to see what happens in round 2. Bock Dal Clark and Gram did nothing wrong... Especially Dal and Clark (illnes)

Re: Rate My Trade rd 1.

This thread is stupid, you're not going to win if you trade in round 1.

We all have probably 4 things we'd change from our starting teams now we have the round 1 scores but you've got to suck it up for now I think and work with what you've got.

You'll get another set of scores this weekend that will throw up a heap of new ideas and if you react to each one you'll have burned 4 trades before you know where you are.

Clark out? No way, not yet. Kruze in? Remember they played Richmond.

Shaw is > Gram but IMO it's not worth the 2 trades to get him in now. Make him an upgrade target as he won't score 139 every week.

At the very least wait one more week seeing as prices don't change after round 2.

That actually makes sense, since the 240k can be used for upgrades later. Newman has been a gun for years, but hasn't been getting much of the ball so far this year. Mal could outscore him this year, but then Mal is more injury-prone than Newman. Perhaps you should wait a week and see how their second round scores are.

I'd also consider Suban and Hooker.

Re: Rate My Trade rd 1.

Any trade done this week I rate 0/10 most will be knee jerk reactions and I'm pretty sure there were no LTI's to come out of the weekend. its a long season and you only have 20 trades. If you need to make a trade this week I doubt you are in the running for the car so at least wait till round three when leagues come in.

Re: Rate My Trade rd 1.

oh now everyone gets heath shaw....

i think theres already a thread for this... "Official SC 2010 Trading Thread" please use that..

Re: Rate My Trade rd 1.

Ok well clearly this may have not been the best thought out thread and was probably created on the back of my disappointment in my weekend performance. I will definitely not be trading this week and giving all underperformers a second chance.

If Clark fire i will leave him for sure, but if equals or outscores gram I will dump gram for mal and save the cash to upgrade my mids early on

Re: Rate My Trade rd 1.

OUT: Joel MacDonald
IN: Nick Malceski

The only reason I left out eski was cos he apparently had hammie issues or something. Regretting the decision, but at least it's only 1 wasted trade.

Re: Rate My Trade rd 1.

I wouldn't worry about trading round 1 unless you have a long term injury. I'd wait until after round 2, maybe even wait to round 3 if you can as premium prices will likely drop in some cases.

Re: Rate My Trade rd 1.

IN: Paul Duffield
OUT: Rhyce Shaw

Didn't want to touch my trades, but R.Shaw just lets me down.
