Seems Ross is getting more guys ready for the midfield this year.

After not running out games last year, more rotations would be nice.....

Xavier, Armitage, Geary, Schnieder all to rotate through....

Agreed & I've always been unsure of X Clarke, but he is starting to string together some consistency & his toughness is quite understated. If only his brother had the same intensity & awareness at times.

Yes but that's obvious - again I'm just stating that Fiora's biggest problem is above his shoulders & if that wasn't an issue that he'd be a very damaging footballer.

If, If, If......"if only Milne was 6 foot 9 he could be a ruckman!....

come on Savatage you need to get over these types of excuses and accept they are not up to it.

Are you dense? I don't recall making anything but an observation on Fiora's head-case attributes.

I don't recall disagreeing with your original comment. Read what I actually said next time.

Cardio - just out of interest, what did you think of Fiora's 2007 season? Whilst I've been disappointed with some of his efforts in this pre-season, which don't necessarily justify a Round 1 spot, does he have any credits from 2007 which was probably his most consistent season ever?

Well stop your Nancy Boy comments and answer this question :

DO YOU THINK FIORA AND/OR RAPH ARE IN OUR TOP 22 PLAYERS READY TO BE PICKED FOR THE FIRST GAME?.

Sounds silly but I thought he was more of a player at Richmond where he and Tivendale could use their silky skills and penetrate deep into their forward line to their forward targets ....in coming across to St Kilda I was happy with the move. However what I believe was hidden under all this and it has change my mind, was that he always looked great on the big grounds, e.g. MCG where he could stay out wide and get the easy ball.

Now that he is playing majority of his games at Telstra Dome his lack of under-pressure skills have come to the fore. He fails to take clean possession of the ball and his long range goal conversion is lower than when at Richmond.

I just put the young kids that are hitting the ball / player / packs so hard at the moment to prove themselves and consolidate them in the side for next 4-7 years in front of him and Raph.

On Raph Clarke, I just don't rate him period. I think if he was taken lower in the draft that he wouldn't be on our list currently.

Once again, read what I said. Does that sound like I rate Raphael Clarke to be a member of the starting 22?

As for Fiora, I obviously rate him better than you do - because he did have a good season last year, but no he hasn't done enough to earn a spot for Round 1 this year. That is a victory for our depth.

I don't make "nancy boy" comments. My original reply was just an observation of his mental application that you misread.

We did play quite a few games at the Dome last year, and I thought he stood up OK. Talking to a Tiger tragic this morning, he said his kicking for goal was always ordinary at critical times.

But Cardio, to criticise you need to also be capable of praise. Whilst Fiora's goalkicking was off again last year, he had a real crack. 339 disposals versus his next season best of only 230 (at Richmond), 47 effective tackles (more than two per game), and 17 hit outs!!!

I agree with you on the Round 1 issue, but not that all players have to be hard nuts. We have plenty of those and need runners.
