Going over the every individual game played file, I've noticed there are tonnes of games where players had 20+ kicks and zero handballs. What was going on with the sim back then?

I think Mobbenfuhrer made a few adjustments over time, early on. But nothing for a good few years now.

Followers didn't handball. In fact I think they still don't, much, but rotations cause them to go where they do.
