After the dissapointing loss to Frematle we have to look ahead to this weeks game against the Hawks.

I can see this as a real difficult game for us to win especially with our lack of big man strength even less now with the loss of Holland for possibly the rest of the season. I can see the hawks trying to stretch us down back with a possible forward line of Holland, Barker, Rehn/Thompson (who killed us last time we played them) and possibly even one of Hay or Rawlings up forward. Then they have their mid sized forwards Dixon and Barlow (who went of against the pies not sure if he will be right). If the weather is fine and they play the four talls then we could be in a bit of trouble with match-ups
Holland - A.Kellaway/Gaspar
Barker - A.Kellaway/Gaspar
Rehn/Thompson - Hall
If Rawlings or Hay up forward then we are in strife - May have to be Torney or Zantuck unless Vardy or possibly Homewood or even D.Kellaway come into the team.

If Hall has to play down back then Ottens will have to ruck most of the day and we won't have many targets up forward. Perhaps Poyas at full-forward or even at CHF and if there is a bit of space for Rodan to lead out from full-forward showed against Essendon when he was there that he will give a good contest and second and third efforts. I didn't see the past two games but apparently Rogers has been struggling and either he or Krakouer should possibly be dropped for either Hudson or Pettifer to try and strengthen the forward line.

In the midfield Crawford has been Hawthorn's only real winner this year and will be tagged possibly Sziller and King in a tag team type situation. Chick was good against us last year but we can't afford to tag to many we should make the hawks try to worry about our midfield. It is probably time for Chaffey and Fiora to be given a go in the midfield with it struggling and as many of you other Tiger supporters have suggested move Knights and Campbell out to the flanks either forward or back.

Well I think we will struggle this week and I think the Hawks might get us by four or five goals.

We know that Holland is a definite out. I would also expect Krakouer to go back for some game time and confidence.

Despite digglers protestations, I cannot see Rogers being dropped!

We are going to have to go small up forward, so will have to play smart there. Expect Hudson to come into the side for Krakouer.

What is the availability of Vardy? Is he injured? If he is available, I would suggest he would the first selected to replace Holland.

Failing that, I would expect Biddiscombe to be next in line. He is fairly tall (188?) and could be used to match up on a Dixon type player.

This would enable us to play with tall defenders consisting of Gaspar / Kellaway / Zantuck / Biddiscombe. Ok these last two aren't that tall, but then again, they aren't that short either.

Also, Dunc may be an option as he is able to play well above his height. (Just ask Wayne Carey! :D)

On the AFL website says Vardy will be facing a fitness test on a groin strain.

Forgot about Biddiscombe he hasn't had much of a chance in the past couple of years could be his chance to show he still has something to offer if he gets a chance.

Has Dunc played at all for Coburg yet this year?
