Thinking of buying myself a record player, was just wondering how much they are and what I should be looking for? Going to start a bit of a record collection of all my favourite albums.

Also are there any good sites to buy records?

best place to buy records is from a record shop.

you'll be looking at $1000 combined for a decent turntable and amp. + whatever you want to spend on speakers.
a Project debut III or Rega p1 are the turntables you should probably be looking at and a NAD C316BEE amp

Depends how much you want to spend on a player. Get one with a USB MP3 transfer/converter.
