When I was a kid I assumed all the water that came into the house was recycled - ie, you flush it or put it down the sink, it goes to the treatment place, comes back through the tap/cistern, etc. Once I learned we pump it out to sea and bring in fresh water via reservoirs, etc it seemed impractical.

Honestly, if it's completely cleaned - which it is - what's the problem?

There isn't one dyertribe, the only problem atm is this hasn't been done already.
 
Hell yeah I'd drink it. Adelaide drinks what everyone in the Murray-Darling Basin put's down their toilets, so why would anyone object if we did the same.

Sewage gets treated and discharged into rivers and the ocean and our drinking water, which comes from catchments where all sorts of animals shit in it and it's gets treated before coming through our taps.

It's the way to go before we're really up 'shit creek'. :p
