Red arrow

Long story short. In Surfers Paradise. From small town with no traffic lights. We went through a green light and red arrow. Was stuck there for about 2 mins, a car even pulled out and in front of us to make the right turn. Whilst in the turn the red arrow went green. Can we be fined?

Might need to try the long story, cos I can't for the life of me figure out what happened going by that description. Did you wait or go, were you turning or going straight, etc etc

So we stopped at a red light and red arrow....for about 3 minutes. There was a car behind us tooting to go even though it was Green circle red arrow (we were turning right)
They decided to go around us and turn right. Then we went also

If you went before the arrow went green, then probably yes you can be fined.

If the lane you were in was a right-turn only lane, then definitely yes that would be a fine.
If not, perhaps you can say it was legal to go through because of the green 'straight' light, then you changed your mind after the arrow went green, so you never technically went through a red.

But then they could get you on not indicating properly or some shit like that.
