Just further to my post/video above, how would the ground curator react to seeing that many people running on to the oval after a match.
The guy in Brisbane would have a heart attack if it was at the Gabba. He doesn't like having AFL there at all.

But they still want to move it.

I think if Adelaide Crows Women made it to the GF I'd be pretty confident it would get 20 thousand minimum which wouldnt be enough to be held at Norwood or Unley.

53,000 at the 2019 AFLW GF would indicate yes.

When we got there in our last GF we got 25k +and we had to pay to get in and women's sport has made quite a few more in roads since.

This is true, but 1 will be lucky to get 500 people per day and the other would definitely at least half fill the the stadium.

I'm happy to sign off on the deal but would want this on the table.
Even though the AflW will likely lock the GF in Melbourne for another 50 years.

I dunno a GF can always hype a few extra people up.
I do agree it's gone down due to over saturation but I still have faith in the competition as a whole.

I think much like local womens footy, there was always going to be a lull before it hits a consistent level.

Plenty of ammo clubs with traditionally big womens programs have gone backwards, and the SANFLW development league will be no more after this season. Country leagues are struggling too.

Once the juniors start playing senior footy the numbers will pick up, but thats a few years away yet.

Surprising given how average his form has been over his career.

Also so stupid that the shield season continues into the start of the AFL and especially the IPL meaning players are unavailable for games.

I don't think there's any problem playing a couple of Shield rounds during the Big Bash.

Sure, some states will end up fielding largely 2nd XI teams but so what? Good for those players to get an opportunity.
