So 270 to win, the only hope we have now lies in this so often maligned Karen Rolton Oval pitch. Will be the largest Shield final winning 4th innings total ever by 31 runs.

Clayton is averaging 46 for the season and Wildermuth made 100 on this pitch last week haha, very odd melt

We bowled poorly, but he's as good as a middle order bat.

The turning point in this innings was dropping Clayton on 43. Tough chance but Manenti has held onto those before.

I love your optimism, but nearly 30 years of batting collapses has scarred many of us.
 
270 on this pitch should be very gettable. We were pretty well there when we shook hands on day 4 of the last test a week ago. We chased 300 3 weeks ago.

But 30 years of Redbacks being Redbacks is a hell of a culture to change. I want to believe. I really, really do. I just can't trust them. Not yet.

I've been watching closely the last few matches and checking scores. Whilst I see where you are coming from you have to take into account this is a final and a reasonable score. It's not super hot tomorrow either and will be breezy.
Still could go either way.

For those who have been watching, I gather the pitch is getting better to bat on, so we should be able to match our 1st innings score.

Queensland certainly have made a game of it though after being in strife.

Won't matter, think the pitch will play truly for the next two days. We just need to make sure we give them nothing, no one becomes two, just make it bloody hard to take your wicket

Yeah it has really flattened out, think there is at least another day and a session of good batting at the very least
