Might be tall but he's no KPP. As a forward, he's genuinely cleverer at crumbing than being a marking target. Overall, he has never displayed consistent forward craft. He's kicked a few goals this year in little game time but many are quite opportunistic goals and rarely are displays of genuine forward ability, if you get me.

The FOMO in me says he could be this year's D'Ambrosio, and a rival club might find the right position for him and he could be the bargain of the trade period.

But in four years, he's still not made it clear what his actual position is. He was drafted as a forward-mid but his tank is absolutely nowhere the level it needs to be to play midfield.

Might join the list of success stories of forwards turned defenders. Too late to find out at Collingwood.

Plenty of clubs could do worse than target him as he'll come at a very cheap price

Pies have shifted him to defence in the VFL. He's going alright from what I've read

Unfortunately his fitness holds him back a lot, he is one of the quickest at the club but by the 2nd quarter of a game he runs as fast as Lipinski hence he has only been played deep forward at AFL level and been sub a lot

Wouldn't mind him at the hawks but if he wants to make it as a fwd for us his defensive pressure will need to be the focus. Fits the mould as a HB for us as well.

He is that almost player. Speed, height, good overhead, good agility. Just gets puffed easily and can't chase which is a big no no for our game plan.

I’m not sure any AFL club has a game plan that caters to a player who ‘just gets puffed easily’ when they all prioritise run and spread.

Yep. This move by clubs is mainly about Dean, Kreuger, and McInnes at the Pies.

Dozens of AFL players’ futures on hold due to depth of talent in AFL draft

Collingwood trio Charlie Dean, Nathan Kreuger and Reef McInnes are all waiting to be told if they are required by the Pies as the draft’s phenomenal depth puts dozens of AFL players in limbo.
The trio has not been delisted by Collingwood, instead told the club will not be able to make a call on them until after the trade and free agency period.
Across the competition players who would in normal circumstances be recontracted could be pushed out given the frantic rush to get into this year’s super-draft.
Rivals are not interested in trading for them because they are aware there is a real prospect they will be available as delisted free agents.
Clubs are also prepared to move on players who have played strong roles in their 2024 teams given the desperate rush to take multiple picks in this year’s draft.
Carlton’s Sam Durdin, Richmond pair Noah Cumberland and Kamdyn McIntosh and Hawthorn’s Denver Grainger-Barras are also in that position as the trade period approaches.

If he had a tank and good foot skills he'd make a decent mid.
