Grand Final Day 2009 was the best day of my life :) being there was beyond my wildest dreams :) and celebrating with other fans that i didnt even know was awesome hehe

2010 hopefully will result in another flag but if it doesnt its ok with me!

What i like most of all is that our club has continued to grow and be a respected member of the sporting community. The culture at our club is fantastic and as a fan im proud of the footy club with the way we have carried ourselves.

We are the benchmark for the comp in every way and its great to see...

Gazza winning the Brownlow, Chappy with the Norm Smith, some All Aussies, the NAB cup etc. all have contributed to an outstanding year.

Well done to the Cats and WE ARE GEELONG!

assuming of course that you've made those expectations already. I'd be waiting to hear the outcome of the 34875435790347984325th Ottens surgery before expecting to win the flag in 2010. As Mooney and others said through the year, without him we won't win.

Personally I think the Ablett distraction factor (inside & outside the club) will be a major influence (if not THE major influence) on our chances in 2010.

The media will simply not let up if he doesn't sign. Pressure and scrutiny will mount throughout the year to the point that it could seriously derail our season.

Alternatively, if he does sign early, the releif and good will that would generate at both club and team level, will steel our focus and push us a long way.

agree, whatever the decision i'd prefer it announced early. even if he wants to go then announce it as early as possible so we and the players can get the negative feelings out of the way and then get on with the season.

I saw Joel and one of the twins on Pakington Street at about 5PM Christmas eve.
 
Ive got this feeling at the moment i cant shake. After doing the impossible last year, and spending 3 years at the top, i think there may be some scarred teams going about. Its like supporters of other clubs aren't mouthing off at the moment, calling it a fluke and such.

2010 i think maybe the most fun year out of 07 and 09, which is saying a lot. I cant wait.

Spot on. Can't see us going backwards at all. Sure others will improve but we have a list that is very capable of improvement, especially with our youngsters. 0 games from Josh Hunt and not much more from Otto. Steveie J was up against it and you can probably add Mitch Brown and Ranga as new draftees to the club along with this years recruits. Motlop and T Varcoe missed massive chucks of the season with injury as well.

When you look at that there's nothing to fear, unless of course you're an opposition club!!!
 
As a fan im gonna enjoy 2010 without worrying about winning the flag.

If we get to the finals then im confident we will do well. I am not fussed where we finish really.

3 premierships in 4 years would be outstanding

Top four (preferably top 2 - doesn't matter if it's an all-Victorian top 4) and having a fresh list come September should be the only aims.

We showed this season that we can turn it on come finals time, despite our form in the 4-6 weeks beforehand being decidedly average. Am confident we can do the same in 2010 provided our most important players in Scarlett, Mooney, Ottens, Chapman and SJ are ready to go.
