So did I, and thats a good question. Even If I cant get any DLC It wont bother me too much, although lots of ebay sellers are selling with Michael Jordan AVatar DLC so maybe its not region locked?

Pretty sure NTSC region games don't work with our DLC. You could probably buy the DLC off the Japanese PSN store though, or the US Store maybe?
You'll need to make a different PSN account for each country to do it, but hopefully you should be still be able to play the game with the DLC in your normal account. The full games (from US store) and demos (from Asian stores) I've downloaded, and DLC (although DLC was from the UK store) all work for me in my normal account. I think from memory I start the download in the other accounts, then login to the normal one to finish the download and then install it. Not sure if it makes a difference though.
You may need to use a virtual credit card too (like EntroPay) to buy anything. I did for the US Store. Otherwise another option is to buy a PSN Card off ebay (which I've done for the UK store where my credit card and virtual card didn't work), although that can be expensive.
From memory, the Hong Kong store allows English to be selected when signing up, but the Japanese store may not. I remember one of the Asian stores being painful to sign up at, trying to guess what I were filling in, so could be worth checking the HK store, although whether that DLC will work I'm not sure.
Not very helpful saying this now, but your best chance if you want Aussie DLC to work, is probably to import from the UK, although I haven't seen it confirmed that all games will work like that, and I've only tried one UK game with DLC myself, but that one did work, and I know for sure the same game from the US does not work with Aussie DLC.
