They don't really play the same role. Crameri's a 3rd tall who marks overhead. Reimers a chipscab wingman.
Crameri has just about locked down a spot for the rest of the year, Riemers is week-to-week.

perfect description, ive been looking for that word for so long;)

I'm comparing two players who play a similar role as half forwards. You're just being ridiculous. Try again if you're looking to fly a flag.

Not even close to similar players.

Try Winderlich v Reimers.

I'd take Crameri over Kyle any day of the week.
Why would that even be a question, though?

The question which will be asked is probably Reimers v Winderlich, when he's back, which answers itself.
Until then it's Reimers v Colyer/Prismall and I think Riemers still has it, although that could well change.

Don't like how easily some of our supporters turn against our own players :(

He may have had a poor game, but he's still a borderline player anyway. If our full squad was fit he wouldn't be in our top 22 anyway at this stage of his career. A 'Roast' thread is pretty uncalled for if you ask me.

I'm happy for him to be given a couple more chances to prove himself in the big time, and if he still hasn't settled in, put him back into Bendigo with the things he needs to work on and get back his confidence.

Most of the supporters baying for his blood are probably the same ones who were raging at Sheeds for chopping and changing the young players on the back of one or two performances late in his era, and we know well our young players developed during that period, don't we?

Agreed. There isn't an Essendon listed player I would bag.

Psychology 101: Negativity destroys - positivity builds. Has anyone really played much sport on here? If you have the ball in your hands, and you think "Geez, I'd better not butcher this" - guess what - you'll probably butcher it. Instead if you think "I'm going to nail this", guess what - you have a far greater chance of nailing it.

Those who bag their own players actually delude themselves into thinking it will help, when all they do is tear the player (and thus, team) down.

...if he still hasn't settled in, put him back into Bendigo with the things he needs to work on and get back his confidence.

The thing is he's been tearing it up back in the 2's. On the weekend against Geelong he was probably second best on ground with 29 possessions (behind Colyer who played a blinder). His Bendigo form has been very solid.

Agreed, again.

I think there's three reasons for his inconsistency:
- Injury riddled pre-season
- Inexperienced players usually are
- Position: If he were involved in the mid-field he'd go missing far less, and you'd see his X-factor more.

And he's not alone in being inconsistent.

I think his flamboyance and arrogance are the cause of his angst - I know if he played for any other team I'd have a hard time liking him. He's a bit like Milne in his attitude (who I do dislike). Or to choose an Essendon example, Bewick.

I've always thought a player who gets into the team on form deserves a month before being dropped. Now Reimers has had that, but it has not been a month of poor performances. Dominated against the GC U18s, and won the match for us in the 3rd against WCE.

I don't see how people can take a burst that changes the entire dynamic of a game and hits the scoreboard heavily as nothing to write home about. Without that we were a serious show of getting toppled against WCE. It brought the crowd into the game, gave the players confidence, forced WCE on the back foot.

I'd like to see him play seniors this weekend and make a judgement from there. 3 bad games in a row should see him on shaky ground, 3 good games out of 5 will have him holding a spot and hopefully getting more consistency going forwards.

Yep.

On this year's form, Reimers. :thumbsu:

You go for Winderlich for that specific role.

Is much better than Reimers when he doesn't have the ball.
