So our reserves team can't be called the 'Crows' and we can't wear our AFL guernsey in the SANFL. So I reckon we should get in touch with the club and recommend we use one of those amazing designs some of you guys on bigfooty designed.

Whoever that was can u post those designs again in this thread?

And then we need to convince the club to wear this strip. We'll probably be called the Ravens anyway which will work.

Before the Crows name/colours were chosen in 1990, the media were quite adamant that we'd be called the Sharks, and wear a green/blue/white strip (from memory).

Let's go with that. The media could be right 24 years too late.

My feeling was that since our logo looks nearly identical to the Baltimore Ravens and I believe Chapman has already been quoted as saying he liked the idea of the Adelaide Ravens as our reserve team, I though I'd pinch their colours as well.

But having read the proposal, this design may be too Crowsy.

We were also supposed to be the West Lakers.

I am sure we will go with a clash/away style modern jumper. With the hoops jumper being reserved for AFL team which I don't actually think is a bad thing, allows us to keep and build that tradition of earning and being presented the home guernsey as a player debuts.

Being the away team every week you'll probably end up with a white jumper base. Blue, red and yellow are already taken in the league so white will be used to avoid clashes.

I can't see anything left field like orange or green being used.

What about the GWS colours?
Won't clash

I would like to see some sort of recognition of the kaurna and permangk civilizations that controlled the Adelaide plains and Mount Lofty ranges prior to 1836.

Basically using the indigenous round Guernsey would be a start.

This is a time to appeal to the traditional, they are the ones who will actually follow and possibly buy the gear.

Wtf can't we wear our normal gurnsey?

The SANFL clubs don't want the Crows to be embraced by kids/fans as their own SANFL side to support, so if they have a different name/jumper than that will be enough differentiation from the AFL side.

Cant believe so many on here are so excepting of the SANFL terms, they are our reserves, they will wear our jumper and be called the Crows.

If the SANFL don't like it we will take our business elsewhere. FFS people grow some balls.

And why can we only have 1 old ex-crow playing, I would have thought it would be awesome if the recently retired players would play for another couple of years with the youngsters teaching/role model on game day.

I think that boat has already sailed, been to many Auskick clinics over the last few years, lots of crows, couple of power, smattering of other AFL clubs, have only seen 1 sanfl(central) jumper on.

Has anyone seen any sanfl jumpers at auskick?
