Resident Evil 7 could be revealed at E3 next month, as suggested by a promotional poster that has leaked online. Treat this one 100% as rumour though. You have been cautioned.

Resident Evil 6 was pretty lackluster for me personally. Played through the Leon campaign which I thought was pretty good. Couldn't get through Chris, just wasn't RE.

I enjoyed RE5.... RE6 still remains sealed (purchased on release, no motivation to play). But i would love a return to RE 1-3 gameplay.

Give RE 6 a go, I got it on release and only just finished Leon's campaign and now I'm pretty hooked on it, playing through Chris' campaign and it has been good so far.

Resident evil 6 is a pretty good game.
Just try not to think of it as resident evil and think of it as an action game.

If your looking for resident evil type games they are long dead.
Try to forget its called resident evil and just enjoy it for the actual gameplay and story.
After the first hour of Res 6 i was ready to throw it away because i was hoping for a return of the old school resident evil style stuff (1-3).
Once i got over it not being what i wanted and just played it as a normal action game i liked it more.

People who are craving actual survival horror and not the abomination that the RE franchise has become, look into The Evil Within.

It is being helmed by the director of RE1-4. Looks like a mix of RE4 and old school Silent Hill.
