Haven't actually played this before in the past but decided to pick it up the other day for the Gamecube and boy was I glad that I did. Easily the best looking and most atmospheric game that I've played so far on the Gamecube. The only real downside that I've had with it so far is that the control isn't analogue and that you have to actually turn your person around and face the direction before walking or running(there's no inbetween either).
I haven't really progressed very far into it yet but I know a few other people out there mentioned it a while ago as a game they would like to have in the Gamecube versus the rest threads we've had. If you've picked it up, what are your thoughts on it?
Oh, and I thought the opening sequence was great with the rabid dogs, I heard the original Playstation intro was very canny.

Yeah, I picked it up last Friday.

The controls are very dated, and having absolutely no control of the camera took a little getting used to. But after a couple of hours I was running around like a pro. Type-C control is the best to use, imo. It allows you to run and a quick tap of the camera stick results in a quick 180 turn.

The graphics are the best I've seen on any console, and the spooky sound really adds to the atmosphere. And quite frankly there is nothing more fun then sticking a dagger in a zombies head and then setting the body on fire.

Absolutely loved it when those bastard dogs came crashing through the mansion windows. I screamed like a girl and ran for my life. :)

P.S. If you like RE, you'll love Eternal Darkness. Same sort of game, but far superior.
