we are in row T, which would have to be the back row?

you could be right about a light pole. We were thinking we might not be able to see to the Perth end with the roof in the way, but the light pole makes more sense :)

From memory, I think the ANZ stand balconies mean you can't quite see the right forward pocket (left? Where our race is anyway) at the Perth end. Doesn't really matter though does it? :)

Anyway, good luck to you lot, and enjoy the day regardless of the result. You'll never forget your first final, so soak up the atmosphere & take it all in.

PS- not meant to be antagonistic in the slightest, but how many non-members on this board will be signing up for next season ASAP? Personally I've had a gutful of 'freo fanatics' who aren't members and don't go to games unless its a nice day, waving purple streamers in my face and declaring how they've gone through all the bad times etc. IMHO, if you can afford it, you're a member, no question. Goes for all clubs.

now that we have gotten over the excitement of actually having tickets to the game, will we actually be seeing anything?

Our particular tickets are in Block 323.

anybody like to take a guess at what could be restricting our view? :)

I usually sit in block 332 (on the other end of the ANZ stand) and some seats at the back of the block have restricted viewing. You will most likely not be able to see a small part of the wing or right forward pocket by the ANZ stand due to the protruding balcony of the stand.

I'll be in block 110. I was only able to book tickets at 3.30pm on Monday afternoon, so I guess I shouldn't really be complaining.

Eagle_Fan, we have been members since day 1 (foundation members). We were full members up until we had our baby.

Subiaco Oval is not at all baby friendly or child friendly. It's not fair on a baby/young child and it's not fair on other members who have paid a lot to be there (especially if you have a very active toddler etc)

As most our family (the only ones who we ever allow to look after our kid) are members and go to all the games, it's meant we have had to miss out. We have gone to all the games we can and my husband has sometimes gone on his own etc.

We did go to some of the East Fremantle games because there's always heaps of room for kids there *lol*.

We did start taking our son to the games this year and he loves it. We were away for a couple of months and missed a few games, but we did go to those we could get too, ironically paying more than we probably would have for membership.

Would we become members again next year? we aren't sure. When you have kids life is more unpredictable. You end up having to give up things and become more flexible.
We did try out the membership without tickets, but all we really got out of it, for us, was the newspaper.

Does this make us less passionate? not at all!

I even made sure that my son was born at Attadale Hospital so that he wouldn't be born anywhere near Subiaco! I had to have him in the Fremantle/East Fremantle zone :)

I know others do take young kids etc, but that was the choice we made, after talking it over with friends, family etc I even spoke to the club, who suggested we wait until he was a little older.
