My Favourite Hunt Quote is "Goodbye" As a radio commentator he is useless if you're vaguely interested in the score, whether a goal has been scored, which team kicked it, who is winning, etc. If you want to hear a barrage of uninformed drivel, or are not actually interested in the game, Rex is your man. Carlton supporters have had Hex Runt twice in succession. Bring on Aunty next week PLEEEASE!

Regarding 3AW's commentary I personally love the coodabeens and don't mind 3AW's pre game waffle but as soon as the game starts I switch to 3LO - Hunt s#its me!

Gonzo stole my thunder there....anyone from interstate who comes over to Melbourne for the footy should tune into 3AW on a Saturday morning a listen to the Coodabeen Champions. It's easily the funniest two hours of footy chat you'll ever hear.
For radio commentary, I prefer MMM.

Love the couldabeens, cant stand Rex Hunt, the lad Dwanye Russell is very funny and also a good caller, no wonder the ratings at 3aw are drying up.

I personally enjoy Rex's commentary, and if I'm watching a game on TV and 5AA has the commentary running from 3AW I always tune in, rather than listen to the pathetic Channel 7 commentators.
I LOVE the fat lady, it's the highlight of the game!! As I don't hear it a lot, maybe it's a case of novelty value. Does he have nicknames for the Crow players?

I love Rex's commentary, and I agree, the Coodabeens are the best football talk show going around.

The 3AW footy team is by far the best to listen to. Not just because of Rex Hunt, but because of Robert Walls and Garry Lyon. They are fantastic special comments men, in comparison with Sam Newman, who does not take it seriously and Dermie who never shuts up despite his great knowledge of the game.
