Paul Gough - "Boom recruit Graham Polak also had a day to forget as he too struggled" http://richmondfc.com.au/default.asp?pg=news&spg=display&articleid=316163

This is disgraceful reporting.

Polak had over 20 possessions, took many marks, and his creative handballs and presence in the backline made him one of our best players. He is a big positive to take out of a bad loss.

This game showed a lot of progress to the bloke and he is already improving on last year.

Give credit where credit is due :thumbsd:

agreed, like what i saw of the big fella has great mits...would prefer to see him pushed up ground some, the spaces of the MCG will suit him well

He was one of our better players. Defenders will also look bad when the ball is being sent in there time and time again. Polak did well today though. Was PG watching the game or merely saw the score?

he was alright but mooney still kicked 4

20 posssesions for a kp backmen is a bad thing incase you didnt notice because it means the ball is in your defensive 50 for a longer time than you want it

But that is the Midfielders fault not Polaks, it was just because it was coming inside the 50 so much that Polak could only send it back out again.

IMO he was in the top 3 of our best on grounds right behind Foley.

I thought polak was pretty good today. Would be good at FF.

Big imposing body.:thumbsu:
We have Richo for that.

I am concerned that Polaks want to play up the field will distract him (and Terry) from his defensive duties. We have many big men that can play forward, how about we have one that concentrates on playing down back.

Also adding further discredit to Paul Goughs story.... Star forwards Matthew Richardson (ofcourse) and Sndrew Krakeour. Krak struggles to get a game I dunno where PG pulled star status from. Maybe a star in Pauls bedroom who knows...

i thought polak was pretty solid. took some good one grab marks under a fair bit of heat. good first outing. looked a fair sized unit as well.

Polak was our best defender and was in our best easily.

He had plenty of it but after he dished it off he wouldn't just stand there, he ran forward so he could be used again :thumbsu:

At least he tried out there.
