Riccardi might scrape in for 1 or 2 more games. Ricco has been a champion, but his time is up. Thompson was going to scrape him through to 300, but now that that is an impossible mark, he wont be babied through the team. Although his skills r still silky smooth, he lacks the spark that he had last year coming off the bench. Will retire a champion at the end of the year and play a few more good seasons for an amateur club somewhere. Expect a big send off. Perhaps his retirement is something which will provide the spark an lift the players at the GFC?

Could not agree more... Riccardi is a star. I was shocked that Kelly was brought in yesterday instead of Ricco.

In a game where we lacked the skill of hitting targets, Riccardi would have been brilliant for us should he have been given the green light even if it would have been for 60-80 minutes of football.
