heard most of the stuff on the new album coming out early next year and it sounds like his strongest album to date.

any fans out there?

Yep, haven't heard any of the new stuff yet but I hope it's better than the last album which IMO was very patchy. Don't think he'll ever hit the same heights as a solo artist as he did with The Verve.

agree, but they were pretty big heights and i guess those heights have built his reputation and its why i will always be keen to see what he releases.

He is my favourite artist. Good to know there are other fans of his work!

Human Conditions was hit and miss- Check the Meaning (my favourite song) was superb, his best song in my view. The rest of the album was not that great. Alone with Everbody was an album with multiple good songs and a few weak links. A Song for the Lovers and C;Mon People were very good songs.

I have already begun downloading some of the songs. Break the Night with Colour is the first song released- it is a very good piece, takes a while to really say "yeah, I like this song". I have heard the live version of the song and it is even better in many regards than the studio version. I can't wait for the album.
