Fremantle Win this years Premiership
There, I said it, I cant see another side being able to contain the potent force Fremantle wield up foward, display the poise down back or match the gigantic talents of Sandliands nor Mundy![]()
Fremantle = 07 Premiers![]()

well maybe one day. But I doubt it
Guy had his confidence smashed in round one against Geelong. It was a major broadside he didn't see coming and neither did the club.
His whole body language changed from the preseason comp onwards. Recall the NAB cup game against Collingwood where he played with confidence and flare as he did for the Northern Territory and as Alvin Davey has done so with Essendon before he broke his arm?
Tambling looks lost out there, unsure of his role and what protection he might receive from his soft team mates. I don't blame him.
A guy like Davey can play fearlessly because Essendon have experienced guys who might be slow but aren't afraid of clocking an opposition player to make sure their stars are looked after when they go for the ball. This philosophy was one that Richmond pioneered when they were powerful. It was ingrained into the players: Hart and Bartlett and Clay and Stewart got protected no matter what. Sheedy took it to Essendon. Malthouse to Collingwood. Most other clubs know it now. We, unfortunately, still don't. Look at poor Michael Mitchell's career. One of two players ever to win both goal and mark of the year, in the same year.
Richmond's senior group are not only gutless but neither physically intimidating or tough. Another reason when we're up by a couple of goals the opposition will never give in because they know we have weak leaders with weak hearts. No one we play feels like they're ever out of the game!
We can have all the priority picks we want; young talent won't develop while it can't be nurtured. And it's a cycle. Our young guys now will be conditioned in the mould of the likes of Johnson and Hyde and Tuck and Bowden and Tivendale and...
Deledio got smashed in the North match and what were the repercussions? I saw Brown get driven head first into the ground on Sunday and what happened in response? Nothing.
Thing is: I keep reading all this hogwash on this board about how Connors has got an attitude problem and needs to toe the line or he'll be shown the door.
Why? The guy looks like the best prospect we've had in ten years, skilful, physical, fiery and tough and to my horror all these changeroom gossips are talking about killing the kid's spirit. If anything he looks like a Wayne Johnston in the making, as in the gun centre/half forward who won premierships with Carlton. Remember him?
Might be hard too given that some imposter who's about the most obese runner in the AFL has decided to see out his days as a mere shadow of who he was. But you get that at Richmond.
Spot on Dodger. This current crop bar one or two exceptions has no get up and go. Like kids getting sand thrown in their faces and taking it!!!!its funny how opposition supporters come into our forum to see how we bag our players... they must get such a laugh out of it...![]()
