THE Best team in the land!!!!!
Who is he related to at channel 9?

I've never heard anyone say he is good at what he does, but he still works at Channel 9 after being there since the 1980s (anyone remember MTV?).

I guess he's like Tim Webster: people have got used to him so they can't be bothered getting rid of him. And he's rated so low by the general public that if he doesn't go through an event without causing a major stuff-up, he's considered to have done well.

I'll see your 'MTV', and raise you 'Keynotes'!

Remember Keynotes very well because Nine show it late at night once in a while for some mysterious reason.

Really shocking show, even by the standards of a 7:00pm summer weeknight filler. It consisted of three rounds yet all you had to do was win the final round to win - go figure.

Yeah, I've caught it a few times in the early hours. Did it ever see the light of day in prime time? Absolutely cringe material. How about the contestants? What's with all the cuddling up to listen to the tunes? Please tell me we didn't look like that in the early 90's:(
And that's what I thought too...why bother with the first 2 rounds when you only have to win the 3rd:p

Kerri-Anne Kennel still works at Nine and she's as useless as Richard Wilde.
Come to think of it,has anyone ever seen them together ?
They could be Australia's version of Michael Jackson & Diana Ross.

It did see the light of day - it was on 7:00pm weeknights as a fill-in for Sale of the Century over the summer non-ratings period.

Yes, the way the contestants act on the show is bizzare - as if you'll only get on the show if you act as obnoxious as possible.

Deadset ****er - see him all the time near where I work in the CBD. Although he does hang out with the chicks from Shakaya...

He is a surprisingly big bloke though.

Funny story....
Me and a couple of mates from work saw him walking down the street near our work, so we started whispering and carrying on "hey that's Richard Wilkins ' getting progressively louder so he'd hear us.
He looked at us (presumably to lap up the adulation) and smiled, when we all started laughing at him and telling him that he sucked.

lol

he wasn't very happy.

****er.

i've walked past him on macquarie street once..

yes, he's a tall f*cker...

dont ya just love the frickin pirate eye-patch... f f s !

he seems to have stopped doing it now, but for a while there, ehen he was reviewing music on The Today Show, out come the perm and the denim jacket, but the following day when it was time to discuss movies he'd don the jacket and tie, put on the glasses and slick back the hair.

Yep, Richard Wilkins the intellectual. I doubt if even the Keynotes demographic would have fallen for that.
