I went to a game a few years ago it was the last round against West Coast judd and cousins tore us a new one West Coast won by about 100 points.
I sat and watched the game and loved the way West Coast played, we were obviously at a different stage of our development and they were the premiers I think that year.
I remember thinking why the hell cant we have some midfielders like theirs exciting skilled and fast. Most importantly a team that was competitive. I was very angry with Richmond for not providing me with players like this to watch in the Yellow and Black other then the great Richo of course.
Now fast forward to the start of season 09 and I look at the Richmond team with pride we have as many quality players as any side in the league they are a good age and will carry us forward as a very competitive side for years to come. Cousins has been merely a bonus a very good bonus but merely a bonus.
