better to have loved and lost than never loved at all as they say

we'll take our 3 flags, flop down the ladder and hopefully return to the top in a decade. Frankly it's the natural order of things

The perennial bridesmaid Geelong can continue pounding teams through the H&A season before the inevitable exposure in September

Very similar situation to hawthorn 2017.
The talent is still there, but getting on, and the new talent isn't filling the void

Will be interesting to how they push forward

This thread has nothing to do with Geelong, yet Richmond supporters bring us up automatically. Can’t help but take a swing on their way down.

The fact is, our dynasty was far more successful than your period of success, and we managed to avoid embarrassment when it ended.

Enjoy the next decade of mediocrity.

It sounds like Tigers are living rent free in your head.

Cats have been a perennial bridesmaid at best since the original dynasty.

Well by proxi it does, because surprise, surprise a cats supporter started this thread

& the chip on the shoulder is obvious. Yep, no doubt we are tumbling down the hill. We will hopefully invest in the draft, make some good trades and start a new ascent. Meanwhile Geelong will still nose about the top of the ladder, but deep down you know you are pretty much no chance against the might of the Dees, the new dynasty team

By virtue of you starting this thread it appears the Tigs are living in your head :thumbsu:

We won 3 flags already, you just copied us.

I wouldn't gloat too much, fellow Geelong fans.

But, yes, they are now irrelevant for a decade.

Such is the lot of a team that dominated. They're done, but have the DVDs and downloads of the era to enjoy.
