I just recieved a suitcase full of old Richmond memorabilia that my Grandma had accumulated from 1973-85.

It contains:

2x1980 grandfinal records
5 or 6 Records from 1973-4 Final series
2x 1980 Weg premiership posters
1x 1974 Weg premiership poster
2x 1973 Weg premiership poster
1980 season review book
Herald and Sun articles from the 73,74 and 80 Finals including all the player posters and Day after the grandfinal papers.

Plus a shitload of other articles and official post outs from the club from that era.

Does anyone know if there is any value in this stuff?

P.S Mum gave me a signed copy of Richo's book last night for Christmas too.

I've got a lot of reading ahead of me.

Go to a comics store and get some mylar bags. Seal those records up they would be worth a bit. Then go to a framer and get those wegs posters cared for. I was in a sports memorabilia shop in november and the 1980 poster went for around 350 framed.

The other stuff, not ceratin

The question is...how much would it take for you to part company with it?

I think your Gran is priceless, make sure you give her a big hug and a kiss every time you greet her and leave her from on if you don't already:thumbsu:.

She died 20 years ago, my uncle is selling the house where they both lived and found the old suitcase while emptying the cuboards, I'd never sell the stuff, just wanted to know how "valuable" the items are for my own knowledge. I didn't mention that my Gran and uncle had ticked off the goals in the middle pages of the 1980 records, geez it's impressive to see all those goals next to Hungry's name, one even has the little squiggle at the top of the page to get the pen going.

Funny the first article on top was from the Truth, I flipped it around and it had a full centerfold of an old school page 3 model, bonus.:)

I'm going to get all the WEG posters and one of the 1980's records framed for my "pool room".
