After the gutsy effort we put up last night, I think we can be feeling pretty confident heading into the Dreamtime game. Sure we have lost Richo but we have Kent who can come in and take his spot as the experienced forward. I also think Shulz might be given a week or 2 back at Coburg he has struggled the last couple of weeks and for mine we should bring in Riewoldt or Hughes. Can't really see any other changes at this point in time as everyone else played well last night.

So the changes I would have this week:
Out Richo (injured) Schulz omitted
In: Kingsley Riewoldt

We all saw that Schulz played poo last nighht but I think we need him with Richo out. We need a bigger bodied player so that someone like Mal Michael will be forcded to pick him up. That probably leaves Fletcher to play as a loose man and maybe McPhee to match up on Riewoldt. As rubbish as the Sarge was last night I don't like the thought of the kids having to do ALL the work. Schulz may not do much again next week, but at least he will force the Bummers to think about a suitable match up.

I was all for dropping Schultz until Richo went down. We played fairly undersized against Adelaide and I'd imagine we will be against the Dons as well unless we bring in some talls (they have Lucas, Loyd, Hird, Ryder, Fletcher, Michael and then Ruckmen). So with Richo out I think McGuane definately needs to come into our backline to take one of their taller forwards. Any two or all of Hughes, Riewoldt and Kingsley should be looked at inclusions (this is unless it pours down with rain) and after watching the VFL match Matt White can have Danny Meyer's position in the team as we can't afford passengers and thats what Danny is at the moment. I'm unsure as to whether Krak has done enough to avoid the drop again and then there's whether Hyde plays or not (I'd prefer Hyde to Krak to be honest unless it's wet)
So for mine
Out: Richo, Meyer, Krak/Hyde, Polo (If he's injured which I've heard rumblings about though I doubt it)
In: Kingsley, McGuane, Riewoldt, Hughes, White

McGuane got injured in the vfl game.
I think the goal post snapped and hit him injuring his shoulder.

Anyone have better news about this?
Came back after the stop in play and continued to play even running down the wing to set up an entry into the 50 as well as backing back into a pack. Seems to me he may have got hit on the funny bone and got a bit of a stinger. Should be fine for next week if needed.

My team would be as follows based on Simmo being fit:

B: Newman, Bowden, Raines
HB: McGuanne, Polak, King
C: Meyer, Johnson, Howat (they will never drop the captain)
HF: Petts, Rewolt, Tambling
F: Krackour, Kingsley, Delidio
Foll: Simmo, Edwards, Foley
Int: Thusrtfiled, Hyde, Pattison, Tivendale
Emergency: Hartigan (if fit), Jackson

Schultz, Tuck making Burgers....

I like that you have Hartigan in your side, he is a hard honest player and if his foot is OK I hope he gets a call up. I also agree with Schultz making burgers but not sure about Tuck , he is still a hard player we don't have enough of.

I am getting tired of the captain though, I was watching the game last night with my in-laws and told them "watch he will get caught with the ball" and he did, he to me seems to slow and makes some bad judgement just when the team was closing in on the Crows. He has to go I believe.

I would like to see a new captain from the younger group and just let them learn like St Kilda have done.

When Hartigan is fit again he will be playing a few games at Coburg before he is even considered for Richmond. Wallace has pretty much said that players have to earn the spots with the odd exception (Brown, Simmonds, Richo) so for a kid like Brent he would need to show form before he would even get a look in.

If i was a punter, i would put money on richmond by under 15, it is just the way this game has panned out to be. Ess will go in over confident while richmond will come in from a tough loss and fired up, i hope not but i see this happening.

IN: KK - Jack - McGuane
OUT: Richo unfortunately - Jackson - Meyer

Kent is in because Richo is out. Jack has to be in this weekend. If Polo is injured then I'd bring in White. I think the team will stay pretty much the same except for the forced changes due to injury. Maybe McGuane in to give us height down back. Meyer and Jackson deserve more than one game but I think one or maybe both need to make way.

It'll be tough for our forwards being up against Michael and Fletcher. Schulz has to play this weekend.
