Forget about the pathetic loss.

Forget about succumbing to the hype...yet AGAIN.

Forget about Dimma's lackluster press conference.

I want them to ****ing kill Essendon next week.

I want blood. I want our players to take the game on, bump, tackle, ****ING TACKLE and make them STICK.

The difference between last time against Carlton (Round 1, 2009) and today was that back in 2009 we allowed that game to ruin our entire year, shatter all we had worked for up until that point. The players reflected the overall attitude of the club.

This time around, I think we will all see how much Richmond has grown in the past two years. If we crush Essendon (not just through the score board, but through sheer pressure and physicality) and not crawl into our shells like little bitches then I will let this game slide.

I will admit that we have grown and that we are truly developing.

This will be massive, I believe this game against Essendon is the most important since that Round 1 game in 2009.

It's time to draw our LINE IN THE SAND and once and for all abolish these demoralising defeats.

Enough is enough, these defeats have to end. No one is excused, everyone failed the club and the jumper this week.
Give us everything you got this week Richmond. If you don't, I'll see you in 2012. ;)

If we lose yet again, and the year spirals out of control yet again.

Then tell me mate, how is this any different to 2005? 2006? 2008? 2010?

We seem to either play half the year, or 2 games of the year.

I haven't seen Richmond string a whole year together, full of consistent performances since 2001. That's unforgivable.

This momentum swing against us needs to stop now.

I agree some things need to change, but I don't agree that the events of next week will determine if that has happened. To be honest, I feel to get past the mental road block that is Rd1 2009, we simply have to serve up to the Blues some of what they've been handing us for the past 2-3 years. Sure, a few things need to happen in the mean time, but unless we come out blood boiling next we play them, it all means nothing to me.

Some may say that is all history, and we need to move on, but simply put... today says otherwise.

Whilst you are somebody's bitch, you will always be in danger of being anyone's bitch.

Wont define us, but will be the last chance to get a victory that means something for those who want to see Essendon fail. After next week Im going to struggle to stay enthusiastic for the rest of the year.

Likely wins against Gold Coast and Adelaide will be empty for myself given that it will simply determine whether we are 12th or 13th by the end of the year.

(Waits for someone to post that they anything that doesnt eventuate is always empty.)

Teams dont come back from a triple figure arse ripping and win the next week.
All we can hope for is an honourable 6 goal loss..get with the program dudes...I can tell you for sure and certain, Tuck, Gus and Nason will come into the side...and we will be a little more competitive...thats about the end of the section...yesterday has completely ****ed the whole psyche of the club, purely because of its embarassment....we will now drop into the bottom 4 and the worst thing is we will do that with our "experienced" hard bodied, "clearance machine" there as was the case last year and the year before etc etc et ****ing cetra..;)

Would not be surprised if you guys got up.

Good luck, hope you do. Can not stand essendon.

Bewdy!!! Well get prepared to be "defined" by Essendon.
What a great thought.
You know there is half a chance that we could turn around and ferociously attack them and win, but I think that would piss me off even more.

We will be returning Hirds Golden boy image to him on a silver platter.

I was hoping Craig would be replaced before Essendon-Adelaide game for the traditional 'replacement coach first up' win to put things right and set them up nicely for you guys.

I think is a load of rubbish.!!:thumbsd:

We are on a premiership journey, not a marketing campaign.

Every journey has its peaks and valleys to build our climbing muscles!!

Our wins are not defined by the scoreboard because, apart from anything else, the scoreboard involves another team we can only partially influence on the football field!!

oh dear oh dear we copped a hiding which was not unexpected and the world has fallen in.

1.5 yrs into a rebuild with at least another 2 3 yrs of rebuild to go half the list to be turned over no depth little experience and a lot of the more talented players on the list very inexperienced and undersized.
yes it was disappointing that they cou;ldnt give a yelp the least you want is a red hot go. but sooner or later we were going to hit the wall just as most sides have and will at some stage this yr.
but surely people do realise that until we actually build the list properly hidings like today are on the cards.
we lack experience, enough big bodies, at times structure, depth , quality, and have just far to many glass half fulls who have shown ad nauseum that they cannot maintain an afl standard.
what is so surprising about another hiding. injuries depth a lack of quality and size it was going to happen, the only reason for people to be so shocked and upset is they obviously dont want to comprehend that we are atm a bottom 4 side and have been all yr. they obviously thought everything would be turned around in just 1.5 yrs talk about unrealistic. people should get a realistic time frame burned into their brain and perhaps they wont suffer so much angst when the inevitable hiding happens.

Saturday versus Carlton defined us.
That is what this club represents these days.
Epic failure.

The last thirty years is the closest to defining where the RFC are at...the results speak for themselves...

The next game...may or may not confirm it... ...

Port in Darwin defined us.
i tend to agree with this...
a win there would have consolidated the improvements the team had made. it would have built the confidence base to take on the rest of the season.

but its been 1 step fwd 2 steps back since then.
with tough games to come.

i think we're 1/2 way into the rebuild and these results are showing who is and who isn't an AFL level player.
