Im pretty over us kicking the ball to richo everytime we go forward. It really cut Schulz and to a lesser extent Polak out of the game until mid way thru the third quarter. Richo has to go out to CHF. Make him push up the ground riewoldt style and provide a link man or sit across the 50 metre line at CHF.

One out or on the lead there are very few that can stop him. But the amount of times we kicked to him 20-30 out and he had 3 or 4 doggies players around him was unbelievable.

Agree, Richo forces the other team to choke up our forward line. Richo needs to learn to be a less selfish player and to sacrifice a bit of his game.

Richo selfish??????????????????????????? Have you ever watched him play?????? He is a forward, his job is to present himself as a target to the midfield as much as he can. THAT is his job. Think before you write absolute cr@P. Richo tries harder than any other player I have seen where the yellow and black bar none.
Yes he has weekness....and we can go on about that all night, but never ever call him selfish never say he doesn't give 100%.

well said nut im sick of the richo bashing in here

Im not sure if you're saying im richo bashing?? But i can tell you im not i love the big man. I just think that for team balance and structure get him up the ground. Give Schulz the 50 as he is a FF. Where as richo can get leads up around HF and wing before pumping it in to forward 50. Like reiwoldt and the g-train at the Saints.

The problem with Richo is that he pretty much negates any other key forward in the team.

If only we'd gotten Tony Lockett - he could have done the famous 'That's what happens if you lead into my spot' thing to Richo instead. Mind you Plugga didn't lead to the pockets that much so probably wouldn't have had to do it.

Richo at CHF might be necessary so that Schulz gets as much time at FF as possible. Cleve and JR are not ready for that position anyway. I would like to see Deledio given a try at CHF from time to time too.

Seriously we are now in a position where we have 18 games to experiment and try to work it out for 2008 - I'm assuming we all accept 2007 is stillborn.

Move Richo and others around, play the kids, Build up confidence by telling them not to always need richo to hold their hand. Don't punish wides etc.

Experiment. Try counter intuitive or seemingly unusual things. It might throw a few teams and frankly what have we to lose?

If we are creative adversity might ultimately bring reward but certainly raining ball on a one man frontline isn't going to do it.

the other forwards do not present any where near enough just stand with there hand in the air

If Richo is the only one presenting how can you call him selfish. He's going to get more of the ball, hopefully not all because Schulz doesnt have it locked down. We go to him a little too much when under pressure but he's certainly not selfish.
