Says I as rain slowly starts falling.

Ian Healy, The Weatherman, reckons they're going to get up to fifteen, 20 minute showers today.

Err, 15 x 20 = 5 Hours.:(

McGrath got the Wicket. But I missed it.
Yer , got the Bureau of Meteorlogy website up , Radar looks very ordinary , thats why i haven`t bothered tuning in .

Americans can be very fickle with thier music , and i believe they protect thier own markets very strongly it takes a hell of a lot of door-knocking to get a foot in . Also i think they are saturated with JF`s brand of adult - easy listening . Maybe he just didn`t try ?

Great idea Ferris, but i wonder who the players would choose. If i was a player I would be choosing someone inspirational. As I have said in a previous post, I would love it to be Richo but i dont think he should be burdened with the responsibility.

rolemodel is what we need..... plenty of young kids comming through and they need somebody to look up to. richo is not the rolemodel we need. bowden could be really good or really bad so not worth the punt, cogs... needs to get back to his 2003 form but may not therefore he should not be the rolemodel.... brown is working hard on his own self doin extra training drills... doesnt seem to be really interested in it. sugar wins.... he will always play a decent game, has a decent attitude and loves the club..... and is the one for us. the best rolemodel at the moment...

I would give Matty the Captiancy. We need to show the football world that the changes at the club are more than just replacing duds and coaches. We ned Matty to take the captiancy, be strong, commited with all the things he did last year. To show all the players at the club that attitudes can be changed. THis wil make Richo a better player. It will give him more confidence on the field and a more team oriented game. With four deputies, in order of Cogs ( grooming him for Captain in 2006), Bowden (cant believe I just wrote that), Johnson and Brown.

I believe Cogs should be groomed as quickly as possible and by giving the gig to Richo I think will enable us to give ot to Cogs and end of next year or the end of 2006, just when our fortunes wil be turning around.

Your point is a very valid one, but is the club willing to take the risk??? i say yes...give richo the job!

hopefully wallace like blight did when he took over the crows picks a hard working player who sets the example of giving your best even if u not the most skilled like bickely..no star but turned out to be a insperational skipper who was really un heard of when picked to lead

Big matty should be our number 17, he has been loyal to this club his whole life. He has been through all the heard times at tigerland and has seen many a coach and player walk in and out of this club. Matty deserves his chance to be a REAL leader.

His heart(just like Wayne Campbell) is yellow and black, and he would be IMO a perfect choice to bring these young up and coming kids into our system.

Cheers

I will preface this by stating I am an unabashed Richo fan and accept his lion size heart is "yellow and black " to the core however leadership and Matty dont go together...I believe that Matty needs to concentrate on one thing at a time and with leadership duties on his shoulders I would think that would only detract from his performance. Bare in mind there has been some precedent for this belief when he was stand in captain in 2003...Woeful performances tarnished his reputation to lowly level...

I vote for

1. Kane Johnson...has grown a leg since a whiff of a chance at the job
2. Nathan Brown...leads by example with full on output..
2. Joel Bowden , come back into calcs with stellar year in 2004

Here here Bo

I regard it as naivity to think of Richo as leadership material , FFS , he wasn`t even in the leadership group this year
