There is certainly room for showmanship in the NBA.

And i've not said there isn't. There is a difference between showmanship and dumbarse dunk attempts.

I enjoy a great dunk as much as anyone, however there is a time and a place.

If you're going to try party tricks, do it in junk time, not when the game is there to be won.

If Ricky Davis focused more on simply getting the ball in the basket, rather than trying silly dunks, perhaps he wouldn't be considered a massive liability by almost every franchise in the league.

Use your head and there is room for both.

Ricky Davis has never used his head, hence why no one in the league wants him.

Absolutely jerry. Gimme stuff like Starks v Bulls, KJ over Hakeem or that ridiculous dunk where AI friggin jumped over everyone for a tip-in slam.

But my favourite would have to be Chris Webber's round the back jam on Barkley back in his rookie year. The look on Barkley's face was like; 'wtf just happened.' He was reigning MVP too.

shawn kemp on chris gatling....

alas with the intoduction of zone defence these dunks are getting few and far between

I remember in this years All Star game in LA...Kobe got a breakaway and he layed it up. The crowd booed.

I think there was a fair balance between ppl who were booing and ppl who were laughing at it.

Should've passed to Mihm, however...

Love a bit of showtime every now and again, maybe could've been a bit less extravagant but I can't see a problem with jazzing up an open dunk.

Ricky Davis has been awesome for Boston since the trade. He was obviously the best player in that trade but it was a case of team needs.

Could you blame him for being a bit crazy last year? He signed an offer sheet with the T-Wolves and the Cavs matched.....he didnt want to play for a tanking team. The 01/02 season the way he ended it I think that Gund guy said "Weve got the new Michael Jordan"

Ricky's all-star material

Now word breaks that Mark Blount won't consider re-signing for the Celtics after a clash with Ricky Davis.

Who is the bigger cancer, Ainge or Davis?

Excellent, hopefully the Magic will go out and sign Blount in the offseason.
