I'd be happy to give Helbig three weeks
Morris gets fixed up and puts in a big preseason and then back next year would be my approach
We kill to birds with the one pebble. Look at Helbig and Make decision and get Morris right
Morris still needs to improve his game as his skills are poor
Maybe but not sure Helbig is good enough frankly, but if we cant make finals in the last few games, not against giving it a go.

I think he should play until we can replace him with a better version. At this stage we don't have that player.

Fair call flea & I agree. Thing is whoever that player is will have a real fight on their hands as I think Morris will fight tooth & nail to keep his spot, given how long it took for him to get his shot. Either way RFC can't lose...:thumbsu:

reckon hardwick will give morris first crack on betts and if eddie chops him up it might be all over for morris for a while.

You may be right tropicaltiger . Is it just me or did anyone else see how stressed Morris looked at the end of the game ? May be more to his injury(ies) than meets the eye. Just thinking out loud....

Yeah..he looked super stressed. Dimma went to him to have a word and I reckon tropical has got it right...Dimma was saying not your best but you're a valued member. I reckon he'll get a spot next week.

This could be uglier than the Ballsntyne game for Morris
Betts is a very clever and speedy player.
Not the best guy to play on when you're trying to find form
We need a plan B, but who????

He's got a shoulder, hand and possibly leg injury. Nobody goes harder than Morris, we are a better team with him in it.

wwrrrrroong.

I can easily that I was one who didn't understand the purpose of [A] recruiting Petterd and playing him over younger talent.

The bloke has deficiencies but if he continues to play as he is he well and truly deserves his place in the 22

He has guts that's for sure

In Dimma we trust.

I dont know, my opinion on him hasnt changed...he still has his Rance moments but overall gives his all and is a good role model for the younger players, needs to be upgraded imo but like him in our team while we wait for someone to take his spot.

Has heart and plays for the jumper we all know his limitations but if he keeps doing the first two deserves to be in the side. Hopefully some of our more talented kids learn to go like he does

The only annoying about some of these lesser lights is their attack on the ball stands out, meaning some of 'better' players just don't attack the ball as hard as they could. Cotch is pretty relentless as is Rance but watching the way Morris, Petterd and Batch attacked players (in a legal fashion) on a weekly basis makes it stand out a bit...

I reckon the players love having him in the team you can see it.
Doesn't make him a star or a living certainty for a long contract but he has a ton of respect that's for sure.

He's playing within his limitations of late which means his errors are less frequent, making him bearable and worth a spot in the 22.

So apart from a dodgy ball drop at times, what are these so called limitations.
i believe these are his major flaws...1. cant kick as far as griff but still a solid kick. 2. good and very clever with his hands but he aint no diesel williams or fleabagger weightman...3. lacks a bit of zippy pace like jetta, but he aint slow. 4. runs hard for 4 quarters but robert harvey ran harder... 5. strong one grab mark but boy oh boy why cant he take screamers like richo... that will do...:D

Ricky has matured in the last 2 months to become an accountable player that not only does the job expected of him but also the 1%s Tackles well, follows up, is a leader on the field ,puts his head over it when he needs to
I've been critical of Ricky but really happy that he has progressed to become a valuable member of the RFC starting 22

Go Ricky

Remember he had coaches votes in 2 of the first 5 games this year, then was injured.

Kicking would be the most important skill in footy, would it not?

Does this count? ;)
