You cant play half a game, or a quarter or even a third.

'you cant dig half a hole, it is still a hole'.

So the half a game is actually a full game.

In answer to the question it is impossible to play half a game as if you play half a game and stop it will have been a full game.

Not true. At half time of a standard game of football, you would have played half a game. You would then go and play the other half, but for the period of half time, you would have played half a game. Thus it is possible to play half a game of football.

The answer is therefore 40 minutes plus time on.
