The same people that buy singles these days are the ones buying ringtones. That's why their so 'up-to-date' with top 40 singles.

I composed my own (or at least I had Gphonque do it for me). The channel 7 / NBC news theme. I've never heard it on anyone elses phone.

I have a Pegazus song as my ringtone, sent to me by the bloke who wrote the song. He also sent me a ring tone for Iron Maiden's "Phantom of the Opera". Top stuff that!

I have the theme song to 'Laverne & Shirley' for the same reason. And on my old phone I had the Hill Street Blues theme, you don't hear that one around much either!!

All my friends have dozens of Top 40 ones. *sigh* They're always mortified when they ask me what ring tones I have, and none are chart songs they know...meh.

I have the Thomas the Tank Engine theme at the moment. It's cute.

I don't bother with them.
I knew this chick from Melbourne that came over here to visit me for a week once, and she had a couple of hundred on her phone, and would incessantly sit there and play all the ringtones back so as everyone would hear them and all of a sudden be impressed.

Like I said at the time to her "I couldn't give a crap as long as it rings"
My current tone is The Hat Dance which came with the phone.

I do have ringtones but only because I hate the way my phone rings.

And at the moment I have "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" just to irritate the people around me not as festive as I am. Normally I have the Buffy the Vampire Slayer theme.

On my previous phone I had God Only Knows by the Beach Boys, which would seem to be blasphemy but it was actually very good.

Port Adelaide Club song and also the seinfeld theme song, which i sent from my 2100 to my 3200 to see if it would turn polyphonic, and wouldnt you know it did.

If you have a newer phone and a mate with heaos of ring tones, get them to send via infrared, it doesnt cost a cent.
