Singer with the legendary krautrock group Can - a great artist and beautiful person.
I saw him live in Melbourne many years ago - when his band finished playing he walked off stage and through the audience to leave the building; as he passed me I grabbed him in a frontal bear-hug while hollering “We love you, Damo!” about 2 centimetres away from his face. He took it in his stride, gave me a big smile and (when I released him) kept on walking straight out into the night.
Vale, Damo, you will be sorely missed
