Oh man...so many a late night, very early morning did I listen to the classified results....

The way he read the results, you could nearly always tell if it was a draw by the way he gave the first score. He had 'draw' inflection. Used to hate it when I was half asleep waiting for the results, would doze slightly and by the time I realised the United score had already been done and I was listening to Division 2 results..DAMN!

RIP indeed. One of the great voices of football. It was a feature of Saturday teatimes out and about in the car - come 5:00 the legendary music Out of the Blue would strike up, Sportsreport would start and then into the Classified Football Results with that unmistakable voice.
