Rnd 1 DMB Vs Barny Reports

Didnt catch the game but heard from a barny guy that dmb got over the line by 8 points, everyone thought they were going to romp that game in, wat happened? did they have a few out this week or wat andy1 in the knw out there at dederang????

i seen the game and made the following observations

* dederang missing cusworth and brad dalkin, barnawartha without danny demarte (possibly more from both sides but these were the ones i noticed)

* elliott beat withers, dicketts was pretty good and goonan had the better of the 2 barny ruckman - bradshaw and fellowes

* belvoir c grade teammates mcneil and cook tried hard for barny with a couple of goals each but lacked support

another note from the game, number 21 from barny whoever it is, was disgraceful in the last quarter, petulantly throwing the ball as hard as he could at the feet of the young, female boundary umpire a minute before sh*tting himself in a marking contest and subsequently being dragged ... sometimes it's just great to see karma at its best!
 
from previous post, i believe number 21's name was mcnamara.

if you're going to throw balls like that at women, you should be playing netball, and judging by this bloke's courage levels i think even netball would be too fearsome for him.

Good call there flagpie,when u get soft pricks carrying on like that toward a boundary umpire and a female one at that its any wonder we cant get people to officiate in games.
People who underestimate Barnawartha this season beware as they played a good run on game and used plenty of rotations of their bench.

Burgess is a smart man and I reckon they will sursrise a few sides this season.

6uldv8, interesting how you saw the rotations, as i think the rotatong off of Cook & Mcneil may well have cost Barny the game. This is bush footy ffs, those 2 are 2 of their better & fitter blokes, better to rest them up forward where they are more likely to kick a goal, than wasting time on the bench. & the bench is where 21 for Barny should stay, fat, slow, petulant, very poor form from him with his behaviour towards the young boundary umpire.
 
i was at the game as well but did not see him throw the ball at the ump and if he did he would have been sent off with a card i would think, so think your taking it out of context? if it even happened? flagpie havent dederang been talked up to be big improvers but only just got over the line by 10pts must have been a few more than 2 players for barny to support cook and mcneil?

2Dogs, only the field umpires can send players off, & they have enough trouble knowing the rules of the game, let alone properly interpreting them & making the correct decisions during the game....

Yeah, Barny had other good players as well, the point being highlighted was that those were 2 of the blokes being rotated off the ground, when either one went off, Barny lost touch & DMB kicked a couple to keep an arms length.

Still a newbie after 1 year on big footy, must be because you don`t make too many posts unless they are quality like this or do you have to wait till mum is in bed before you`re alowed on the computer, lets keep the thread clean too by the way.

Since this is pretty much a DMB thread, would it be fair to say that DMB vs. Yack would be match of the round this week. They just got over the line against barny and Yack will be as fired up as ever after a dissappointing loss to chilten. A couple of yack guys i know are dirty as that they lost and will be seeking redemption this week and looking to get 4 points on the board, while DMB can get 2 games ahead of yack if they knock them off. Heard that they didnt use the ball that well and alot of turnovers and skill errors. Though they do get 3 key players that didnt play last week. Dont know who will win coz yack should and will be as hungry as ever, so im calling a draw atm, just cant go one way or the other...Thoughts????????
