I'm 99% convinced he was the one that tried to get the players to strike during the 1997 Confederations Cup too. Slater has alluded to that before in his book.

A good point was made on the 'football weekly' pod this morning about how Swansea have a vastly British side coached by a Brit and yet they played possession football along the ground instead of hoof ball or putting 10 men behind the ball like a certain Liverpool did against Stoke on the weekend and somewhat ironically it was against a team Foster tends to wank over in Arsenal too.

I left the tv on in the background and watching southpark last night and saw the world game - such a disappointing drop off in that show, I've never bothered since they shifted it from sunday. Anyway Foster was well and truly on the Swansea bandwagon and putting the manager forward for the england job. He even had to reminded by one of the others, is it Zdrillic?, about Arsenal after he claimed Swansea play the best football he has seen in England!

And this is why I think he's a prize pig arse clown. Slater is no Rhodes scholar but Foster is desperate to try and be seen as to be more intelligent and open minded than your Slater, Bosnich, Wade level. He's kind of like Gerard Whately is like in the AFL press at times but you'll never get me to admit that because I love Whately and I'm a massive hypocrite.

If he was going on about Swansea then it's another attempt to try and appease all these people he put offside by being a pretentious twat. He bagged out Martin O'Neil's Celtic side in the run to the UEFA Cup final and then jumped on our bandwagon when we made said final.

I don't watch the TWG anymore either (Australians commenting on the Premier League/European Cup etc is something I just can't listen to) so not sure what Foster dribbled about these days but I'm assuming he through a lot of love towards AVB before he was found out at Chelsea.

Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers is also from Northern Ireland, not England.
