S******.

Appointing the latest of about 40 people to the board through a "casual vacancy" to avoid the Club members ever having any input is fine. (Even though the latest is a person specifically not allowed to be a board member by the Club Constitution).

But a board spill that IS properly conducted under the same Club Constitution is clearly undemocratic and no more than selfish personal ambition in play.

I particularly look forward to the moment when the fat prick Furher announces that he is now cured of being a racist and an all round campaigner, and is going to reluctantly leave the loving bosom of Toovey's family, and return to the job to save the Club.

The blood will be flowing at Collingwood for a generation. It is a wonderful thing.

If it is at all possible for Nafan to get another ten years for the sake of stability, life will be grand indeed.

When a board goes out of its way to release a statement like that you know they're a pack of panicked rats scurrying to save their own hides. It warms my soul to watch Collingwood poised to eat its' own, hopefully the turmoil persists & we get a succession of boards & presidents axed in the ensuing chaos.

I'm not sure how to feel about McChins in all of this - on the one hand you could say by leaving he effectively started the collapse by being the first domino to fall, and through his cancerous media influence effectively shielded the club from the scrutiny it needed which allowed issues to fester.

On the other one could argue Collingwood as an organization & collection of supporters has always been an assemblage of bottom-feeding derilicts for whom tearing at each others' throats is something of a reflex, and that by ruling with an iron fist Eddie preserved unity among such scumbaggery.

Whilst its unquestionably satisfying to watch Collingwood rot from the inside one does feel a certain hollowness knowing the club is a pale shadow of itself destined for years in the wilderness regardless of how many heads roll, though perhaps we can always hold out hope a prolonged period of anarchy may set it back an extra five or ten years... duplicating the effect of Nathan's previous contract extensions.

Of course the real victim in all of this will be Nick Daicos. They'll be falling over themselves to mention him as often as possible as the sole ray of light in the club's future, and the pressure it'll put on the skinny kid will be off the charts. Jack Watts MKII - I wanna be the first to call it. :winkv1:

Collingwood's board were so rattled by this latest development I heard they could barely ignite their cross last night.

Would be poetic justice to see Nick Daicos gang tackled by Oliver, Petracca, Viney and Brayshaw in his first game.

I think you are wrong to sugar coat it like that......

Being Collingwood fans, I'm guessing the board are against a coup because a sedan holds more passengers

More opportunities for simultaneous conception of future generations who would refer to their fortnightly payments as "government sponsorship" if only they'd thought of it?

I'm making a wild guess that somebody has discovered that the Browne ticket has an indigenous female on it.

Who may or may not also be a member of the under represented Ranga demographic.

Sizer said the current board represented good governance

I am genuinely curious..... in what known or unknown universe do Collingwood's recent decisions represent "good governance"??
