On tonight, and I bloody love this show, cracks me up. Some of its hit and miss.

I've seena few people here saying they don't like it. to those people I say "boobarse".

Loved the German childrens show they had last week -

"Today's program was brought to you by the letter O, because it is hollow and void"

Got a laugh out of me.

good to see I'm not the only person that actually thinks its funny.

that South African cola had me stitches as well

lol that's the only ksit I don't really like on this show... get's repetitive obviously...

the schappelle Corby political prisoner fixo kit skit was GOLD
 
I have a sense of humour, but this is just not funny. It wasn't funny 2 weeks ago, and from watching 3 sketches tonight it hasn't improved.. i think it's even worse.

Take that pregnant woman on the tram bit for example. The premise was good.. i couldn't think of a way they could stuff it up, but they did, and it turned into an overblown mess.

I think the worst part of the show is Ronnie's annoying little interludes where he puts on that oh so irritating voice... So very painful.
 
My Fav Skit of the Night was the Chopper One, F*@#in This F*@#in that, just makes you wanna go put Chopper the movie in the DVD Player Give it a watch and have abit of a laugh.

yeah I agree for thats the worst part of the skits

but I give it to them they are trying and they do get some funny stuff

the Bali 9 kit was Gold - so far my favorite would still have to be the South African Cola though

top stuff Ten - please don't let it go to the comedy ch. on Fox !

If you are reffering to the one where Chopper done the bingo I totally agree.

Laughed my **** off.
 
There were a couple of dud sketches, but overall, it is very encouraging.

The Bali 9 sketch last night was very good, and I actually liked the pregnant woman on the bus sketch.

Theses guys deserve a chance to succeed, and at the moment, are putting on a pretty good show. They take risks, and sometimes it doesn't come off. However given we see so little comedy on Australian TV, the performers and writers seem to have made the switch from performing in uni revues to tv without too much trouble.

As for Merrick and Rosso...not even that lame laugh track can convince people what you guys are putting on is funny. You were okay when I use to listen to you on radio, but this is embarassing.

my main criticism of Aussie comedy is that it's too safe. This show is brilliant purely for the reason it's prepared to push some boundaries - even the best in the business, Dave Chappelle, makes the odd dud sketch, it's natural. but at least with the edgier comedians there's usually a big payoff to compensate for the risks taken.

Crap like Merrick and rosso will never be world class comedy, it just simply is designed to be B-Grade all teh way.

Agree totally, dave chappelle makes lots of rascist politically incorrect sketches but its done so well, anda cted so well they are so funny. Some of the sketches in the ronnie johns half hour seem like they try to hard to be contraversial but overall its a decent aussie comedy show, its probably helped by the fact merrick and rosso is on before it because its not hard to be better than that crap.
 
I've been watching it and some of its been mildly amusing - but I liked the vegemite bit ...

As for the Merrick & Rosso show - I like the Dimitri and Bernie Millionaire skits, but that Tonya Beardface is utter drivel, DJ Pamfa is cr@p, sick of the Russell Crowe look alike. Docto Tipple - lame but made me laugh....

Yeah Russell Crowe on the b-team was alright the first week. B Team is pretty poor overall but I like Merrick and Rosso so I can't help but watch it even though I know it sucks.

Ronnie Johns is kind of trashy, there are some bits that are crap, some that are good. The Germans - "un shrinking, un shrinking, un shrinking"
 
So many of our comedians play it safe by falling back on the same old, tired material, dumbed down to the lowest common denominator.
 
I watch this show and enjoy it, i must say i enjoy henry liptons t-bag lol. The guys kicking eachother in the nads is getting a bit repeditive, but i love the chopper skits.... Pure gold lol

the guys kicking eachother is ridicolous, marginally funny the first time and surely they would realise its not funny anymore.
