Geelong defender Max Rooke’s on-going battle with hamstring injuries has led the Cats to seek outside assistance.
My thoughts are basically: ****! We need Rooke badly, adds hardness and real determination to the team. Plus, he's a lot quicker than Lingy and can take your Judds or your Kerrs, and to some extent negate them.

Geelong defender Max Rooke’s on-going battle with hamstring injuries has led the Cats to seek outside assistance.
Rooke will head to the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra to search for a solution to the problem that has seen him limited so far.
“He will go to Canberra on Friday and meet with a specialist,†Geelong coach Mark Thompson said.
“Rookey had a car accident earlier in the year and that may have something to do with it. He hurt his left hamstring in the VFL last week, and that is the leg that he hadn’t had any trouble with.
“That may have been caused by compensating for the problems with his right leg. We can’t pin it down and so he is going to Canberra.â€
Rooke has been one of Geelong most dependable players in recent seasons, but he has endured a difficult time since the 2006 campaign ended. He underwent shoulder surgery at the end of the season, and has had hamstring trouble since the car accident.
The 25 year old Rooke has played 84 games since debuting in 2002. He played his first game of the year in the VFL against Tasmania two weeks ago, and came through without any problem. Last weekend’s hit out against Frankston saw Rooke forced to the bench early with his latest hamstring problem.
