Sorry if this is an elementary question but how do you elevate a rookie? I've read it depends on veteran/ injuries - do we have any veterans?

Do you think Jarryd Blair should be elevated for 2010? Although shorter, he is exactly the kind of hard bodied, in and under, J. Selwood player than we desperately need.

What do you guys think?

hey mate i think blair for sure should be elevated.
great little player and i love how he can get the ball so cleanly in packs.

the other one id like to see is keefe. he is very vesatile and he will be good in a few years.

Veterans determine whether a rookie can be elevated as a "nominated" rookie, however we have Rocca and Presti as veterans so this option is out.

This year, as of round 11, any one rookie can be elevated from each team. This option is available to us.

Also, rookies can be elevated for a player on the long-term injury list. We have no-one on this list, so we can't elevate a rookie for this particular reason.

I'd be happy for the club to elevate Blair, but only if they plan on playing him, which they probably don't.
