Not even sure how many we have but I would like 3 types

1-Ruckman - looks like Paul Johnson and that is OK
2-KPP - someone from Boseley, Bussey, Frost, Clarke
3-Mid size HBF - Mirra, Spurr

If we have other picks we could look in any direction for talent.

Interested to hear the thought of others.

Hopefully any of those KPP you mention above will still be there when our first pick comes. Can add Dobosz to that list.

Also add Gibson Turner, Jimmy Mosquito & Waylen Manson (probably be snapped up early).

As per the National Draft, there will be totally different players selected than who we think !

Rookie draft we should take a mature ruck and then the rest just go for guys we think have talent, positional players are not that important I think our list has a pretty good mix.

The ruck looks like it will be PJ but I would prefer to take Daniel Currrie (Swannies) or Russell Gabriel (Frankston).

We were linked to Jai Sheahan who I would be happy to take, 193cm tall leading forward with strong hands. O'Hanlon was another one we had been linked to prior to the draft and he would be great, 190cm hit up forward with good goal sense. I like Jackson Coleman who had a Cricket Vic contract last year, 195cm versatile tall can play either end. Timmy Mosquito is another we were linked to, 178cm HBF with express pace and clean skills I have seen him play a couple of times and he is very very quick.

I would love to give David Mirra a crack at the big time as well, the way he has applied himself at BH over the last couple of years has been fantastic.

From what we all were told, Menagola is slow. So I struggle to understand how he would cope from a defensive point of view - which is crucial in the fwd line.

Xavier Richards (brother Of Ted) who is a potential key position player was being touted as a possible first round pick earlier this year. For some unknown reason he seemed to drop of the radar in the last 3 months.
He may well be worth look.

I would take...

Pick 1: Paul Johnson 199cm 103kg 27yo (Ruckman)
Pick 2: David Gourdis 193cm 93kg 22yo (Forward/Backman)
Pick 3: Carl Petersen 183cm 80kg 24yo (Small/Medium Forward)
Pick 4: A Young quick solid midfielder or someone from BHH like Sam Gibson or David Mirra.

We need to draft someone from our own backyard. We have missed out on Pedersen Iles & Curnow. Not good enough!

Would like to see us use one pick on someone totally from left field, ie Carl Peterson, or a 25 year old, or a raw kid etc.

1 should be a back up ruck, dont see them going past Paul Johnson.

1 should be the best available.

Do we only have 3 picks?

I think PJ is definitely going to be one pick.

WOuld like some more speedy players... Gibson Turner seems like a good project player...

Last I heard on Timmy Mosquito was that he's not nominated, because he's not interested in moving to the big smoke...

Shane Nelson from WA priority one please Mr. Bucky and Mr.Wright.

The West Perth colt is regarded as WA’s best midfielder alongside Stephen Coniglio and Jaeger O’Meara, but also possesses another key string to his football bow - toughness.

Plus a couple of either Marley Williams, Gibson Turner, Sam Frost, Justin Clarke, Waldhunter, Bolger and Boseley.
I'm more excited about the rookie draft than the national draft this year.

I genuinely hope we pick up Peterson.

My rational is that given this weakness of this draft everyone is a risk, but Peterson has huge upside and can play immediately and could make our list feasibly stronger in the short term and add a bit of depth. The rewards seem to far outweigh the risk.

We delisted Renouf, Roughead is still walking laps and Lowden and Grimley still haven't played an AFL game. We need a ruckman, and one who can play a role now. Johnson or another mature option.

Other than that, I have no preference.

We won't use our 1st pick on an already tried player that no one else is after.

Nathan Carroll, I'm led to believe, has finally succumbed to the club's pleas to play for us. An off-field sponsorship deal worth more than the Scully deal was the clincher. The captaincy was thrown in as a sweetener and as a gesture of good faith and wasn't, as some sources are reporting, one of Nathan's demands. I expect a presser early next week.

I don't actually mean pick 1 we should get Johnson, its not in any order, those were just the players I'm hoping we pick up. In no particular order what so ever.

Every Club needs a good moustache.

I endorse the club's decision. This is why we are one of, if not thee, most respected clubs in the AFL.

Yes, he sounds really good by that article. Exactly type of guy we need, inside/outside midfielder, being good enough to find the footy and escape out of clutches and become a fast runner. I wonder why he was not picked up. The others I am not sure. I think we have 4 picks, so we pick up P Johnson, Shane Nelson. I wonder who the other 2 guys will be, will they be mature rookies like Peterson, spur or someone who needs to be in the system for 2 years before playing afl like gibson turner (small fwd), Frost/Clarke: people will be wondering how many backman do we need, but we don't have anyone who is 100 kg, 195 cm, unless there is any afl ready made, I think ex richmond guy, david gourdis. Okay, that's all.

Sorry grizz. Heard he did a LORD, and pulled out at the last minute.
