Cripps has just confirmed on Trade Radio that Cochrane, Ramm and Lai will be elevated to the main list at the draft.

We will trade out all our picks.

It's bad enough when our first pick is 40 or 50, but having none just ain't fun

Good to hear Lai is getting promoted, he has some X-factor.

The other two I just expected would be upgraded, with interstate recruits you're never sure.

It's boring but it's probably a good call.

It would be an interesting exercise to see where these 3 would go in this draft.

I think you could mount a case that Ramm could go late first round (which would be second round in a less compromised draft).

Similar to Leek Aleer who went 15 as a 21 year old.

Cochrane and Lai I could see going as late picks in the main draft.

We have 3 list spaces to fill in main list and category A rookies. Maximum list A rookies is 6 and since the elevation of Cochrane, Ramm and Lai we now have 4 in that category (Evans, Mackinlay, Liddy and Walsh). That means we are probably going to get two via the rookie draft and either select someone via the national draft or bring in another player either by trade or delisted free agency.

So isnt there a preseason draft where we pick at the remaining AFL scraps and delisted rookies.
