St Kilda bolstered its inside grunt after snapping up Hawthorn VFLW vice-captain, Rosie Dillon.

The 23-year-old starred for the brown and gold in Season 2019 with an average of 17 disposals and six tackles per game, capping off her stellar year with the club’s best-and-fairest and a place in the VFLW Team of the Year.

Dillon played all 14 games for the season and was named in the best on field an incredible 11 times.

Her work on the inside, ability to break apart packs and rack up contested possessions has held her in high regard across the competition, particularly off the back of her break-out 2019 campaign.

Now in new colours, Dillon will be intent on bursting onto the scene in Season 2020.

Another four inaugural Saints have confirmed they will be at RSEA Park for at least another two seasons.

Tilly Lucas-Rodd, Hannah Priest, Rosie Dillon and Isabella Shannon take St Kilda’s re-signed players tally to 10, joining Georgia Patrikios, Caitlin Greiser and several other youngsters in putting pen to paper.

Dillon emerged as the season wore on, becoming one of the Saints’ key midfielders and showing her footy IQ time and again.

Rosie Dillon, Tarni White and Nicola Xenos will form an Emerging Leaders group, a new addition to the Saints’ AFLW program.
