Ross Funcke

I just want to say how impressive Ross Funcke has been since his return to the side. On Sunday he was one of our better players. The only mistake was just before half time he made this silly pass when he should have had a shot at goal, the ball was turned over and luckily they missed their shot at goal.
But overall he has beaten his opponents. Against the Hawks he kept Lord goalless and he did his job again on Sunday.
This could be enough for the Dees to keep him on for another year.

Why hasn't Danniher tried him before now???

two games isn't fair to assess anyone on...he needs more game time. to get a fairer picture of his abilities.

There is another 2 to go. If he performs well in those then he deserves to stay on the list.

he was one of the 14 players on notice and i think if he keeps up his good form he might be here next year.

Yes i was very impressed with him.
As a matter of fact i was very surprised, because i never thought he was much of a player, but seeing him play on Sunday i was very pleased to see him play so very well.
I think the dees should defenetly keep him, coz at least we know he's got potential.
You already know how disapointed i will be if they let Clarky go, but players like Lamb and Funcke would also be quiet disapointing to see leave before they really had a chance to prove themselves. If they let Grgic 'develope' (my arse develope but yeah thats what they say) for 5 years there is no reason why they shouldn't be patient with players like Funcke.

the thing with Funcke is - he has had AFL experience with Richmond a couple fo years ago and didnt really impress, so the club knows that he has one shot at the big time, and there are only so many chances. Perhaps that is why he is on the on notice list.
