St. Kilda vs Gold Coast
Jack Steven wants to play round 1 after recovering from his mental illness, but will still need to prove his fitness to gain selection. Dan Hannebery is still facing hamstring problems and is not in the frame

GWS vs Essendon
GWS are unlikely to have a debutant in round 1. Coach Leon Cameron has said that Jackson Hately was close but needs more work after a bout of tonsillitis. Fellow draftee Jye Caldwell has also been ruled out for a couple of weeks with a groin issue. Leon Cameron has also revealed that while Josh Kelly isn’t currently injured, he’s still in doubt to play against Essendon with question marks over his fitness. Jacob Hopper and Toby Greene however should be right to play

Brisbane vs West Coast
Josh Kennedy, Willie Rioli, and Jamie Cripps are not on the plane, the latter targeting round 3, but youngsters Jack Petruccelle, Oscar Allen, and Jarrod Brander are all flying to Brisbane. (AFL)

Fremantle vs North Melbourne
Griffin Logue are both listed as tests. (AFL)
Mature age rookies Lachie Schultz and Brett Bewley are in the mix for selection according to coach Ross Lyon. (Fremantle)

Bailey Scott will debut for North Melbourne on Sunday, while other new faces Jared Polec, Jasper Pittard, Dom Tyson and Aaron Hall are ‘expected to play’. (AFL)
