Ah well. That was a huge turn around in form by both teams in the space of a quarter. Could easily happen again the other way, game not over yet.

How important is Yeo to this side, imagine if he went down. Tag Shuey, goodnight West Coast.

Shuey is not attacking the ball hard enough - barely touched it. Onball, we were done all around the ground. Not enough ball winners - Oallen + Waterman are ineffectual, and are not ball winners. Stuffed up again, Simmo - too bloody stubborn. Woosha incarnate.
Hasnt been bending over to pick it up lately, lot of trying to soccer it. Something seems off.

Lost this game before it even began at the selection table.

Why are we so ******* obsessed with going tall?

This game was always going to be won on the deck with clean and quick disposal the key.

Get it forward, lock it in and opportunities will come.

Terrible selection & average coaching.

Oh and whoever is in charge of getting the boys up for wet weather footy needs to be sacked.

About as useful as an a-hole on a elbow.

Rubbish. We’ve plenty short, shorter than we’ve been most weeks thus year. The issue is the midfield putting our backs under extreme pressure and the flow on effects that has in terms of quality of rebound and the loss of positive supply to our small and medium forwards.

A game of territory lost by the midfield. End of discussion right there.

Vardy is the least of our concerns today, why go after him. He has won plenty of hit outs to our non existent midfield.
Where are they? Bit cold and wet today?
Petch, Ryan, Rioli, Waterman, Allen, Cripps all invisible.

Because he's being well and truly beaten, again, by a 9 game rookie ruckman?

His hitouts are being sharked, hes had 0 score involvements, his oppo has had 3, hes also beating vardy in every other possible stat apart from turnovers, which they are even.

Vardy hasnt been our worst today, but he's been our worst player in 2019.

Indeed. Defence isn't the problem.
Yeah it is they can't defend 1 on 1 when the balls on the ground see 2 players going for the smother and none tackling Betts after a player further up the field spun around an Eagles player 'attempting' to tackle

It’s not selection, it’s not the conditions. it is their work rate!

When the midfield was going hard in the first quarter, Crows were nowhere near us. Now that they have played their one quarter and gone back to half arsing it, they are all over us.

Shuey, you got a pass last week because of your two goals, but you have been MIA for most of this year, this game included. Get to work mate.

No issue with any of that but he has 10 blokes today that are worse than him to this point.

suppose it's fitting that jackson nelson's return to the senior line up coincides with my return to bigfooty.

can anyone tell me why we have selected both allen and waterman in the same side in wet conditions? does anyone, in their wildest dreams, expect these to get more than 20 disposals and a few marks combined? have we learnt nothing? it is beyond asinine and utterly beggars belief.

that was, without a shadow of a doubt, the WORST quarter of footy i've seen from the eagles. pathetic and embarrassing.

Not sure what Nelson’s done wrong to cop all this pushback. Was good early and then was one of the many backs that have been overwhelmed by sheer weight of numbers. 24 inside 50s to 5 in that term is not a Jackson Nelson issue.
I don't think his 3 possession effort is cutting it playing around the ball most of that quarter and generally doing SFA..however you are entitled to your opinion...even if it's wrong

What a nightmare of a quarter. Was like the forth quarter against them last year. Not feeling confident from here but hopefully the rain doesn't start now and make it impossible. So disappointing after we looked pretty switched on in the first.

Sorry, to clarify you think Jackson Nelson is the issue in the game? The quarter we just lost inside fifties 25-4, the quarter in which our captain tapped the ball into the open goal square, the quarter in which we didn’t win a centre clearance, and your takeaway is that Jackson Nelson isn’t finding the football enough?
